Crone is also a founding member of the Massey Club, an annual donor society that celebrated 30 years in 2022.

He conceived and helped launch the MCV Foundation Discovery Series in Williamsburg in 2013, eliciting a new cohort of friends, partners and donors and making it among the most impactful initiatives in recent years.
