MCV Foundation Welcomes New Staff, Celebrates a Milestone

In Summer 2022, the MCV Foundation welcomed two new staff members to assist with outreach and fundraising activities.
CARA HADDON
Cara joined the MCV Foundation in June after working in the development office at Randolph-Macon College since 2013. She earned her B.S. in biology at Randolph-Macon and holds a Certificate of Planned Giving from the University of Richmond’s Institute of Philanthropy. At the foundation, Cara will help raise funds for the MCV Campus, broaden the donor base, steward donors, and assist with estate administration.
SAMANTHA CHARLET
Samantha joined the MCV Foundation in July after working for the United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg since 2011. She earned her B.A. in print journalism at James Madison University and her M.A. in women’s studies at Florida Atlantic University. At the foundation, Samantha will help raise funds for the MCV Campus, broaden the donor base, steward donors, and assist with corporate outreach.
Finance Team Member Marks Decade of Service

Paula Griffin celebrated 10 years on staff at the foundation this spring. She began as a gifts administrator in 2012 and is now a senior accountant, helping to analyze the accuracy of daily gift deposits; reconcile monthly giving and fees; and provide multiple gift, accounting and audit reports.
